Rambutans are wonderfully sweet, however that doesn't mean you can only use them in sweet recipes. They also taste great when you marinate them with Middle Eastern aromas.


  • 12 EAT ME rambutans
  • 1 EAT ME cayenne pepper
  • 1 EAT ME lime
  • 1 tbsp. honey

Let's get to work

  1. Score the rambutans right around and remove the skin and the seed.
  2. Cut the cayenne pepper in half, remove the seeds and cut in very small pieces. Place in a mixing bowl and add the honey.
  3. Rinse the lime and grate the zest and set aside. Cut the lime in half and squeeze out the juice. Add the lime juice to the cayenne pepper. Mix into a marinade.
  4. Pour the marinade over the rambutans and sprinkle with the lime zest. Leave in the fridge for 1 hour. Perhaps you'd like to use some rambutan halves to decorate with.
