Waffles with blackberries and blueberries

  • 100 g butter + extra for greasing
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 500 ml milk
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 300 g flour
  • 200 g MonChou cream cheese
  • 100 ml whipping cream
  • 50 g icing sugar

Preparation method

  1. Beat the butter with the sugar using the mixer until light and airy. Beat the eggs into the mixture. Add half of the milk. Sieve the baking powder and the flour over the batter and mix as lightly as possible through the batter. Add the rest of the milk by stirring well.
  2. Heat the waffle maker and grease with butter. Spoon some batter into the waffle maker. Bake until the waffles start to colour golden brown. The amount of batter you use and the baking time depend on the waffle maker.
  3. Whisk the cream cheese until it loosens. Add the whipping cream and icing sugar and stir until smooth. Spoon the cream over the hot waffles and garnish with blueberries and blackberries.

Tip: Replace half of the flour with whole wheat or spelt flour for extra fibres.
