Thanks to the mild flavour of the EAT ME padrón, you can do something that isn't advisable with a lot of other chilli pepper varieties: enjoy its raw, as a snack. But it is also a fabulous ingredient in a salad, for example. These peppers are a true delicacy when grilled. Or roast them in the oven with sea salt.
Simply wash the pepper first, then slice or chop it. The versatile padrón is ideal for cooking, baking, stir-frying or even on the barbecue.
How to use padrón in the kitchen?
- In salads
- Deep frying
Padrón pepper will keep well longer if stored in the fridge.
Where do padrón peppers come from?
Padrón peppers are also grown in the Netherlands. That is where we source our EAT ME varieties. And in the less sunny months of the year, from Spain and Morocco.
