Spaghetti aglio e olio is a simple and tasty Italian dish. Adding cayenne pepper adds it a little extra hotness, without dominating the pure flavours of garlic and olive oil. Make it perfect with cayenne pepper.
Cook the spaghetti according to the instructions on the package until al dente. Reduce the cooking time by 1 minute. Drain the spaghetti and save a cup of cooking liquid.
Halve the cayenne pepper lengthwise, remove the seeds and finely slice the flesh. Thinly slice the garlic and chop the parsley.
Heat the olive oil in a large frying pan. Fry the garlic and cayenne pepper on a medium heat for 2 minutes.Add the spaghetti, parsley and some cooking liquid. Mix everything together and heat for another 1 minute.
