Preparation method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
  2. Defrost the puff pastry. Slice the apples into small cubes. Remove the paper-like husk from the physalis berries and rinse them. Squeeze the lime.
  3. Mix the apple with the physalis, sugar, cinnamon and lime juice.
  4. Lightly dust the worksurface with flour. Stack the sheets of puff pastry neatly together. Roll the pastry with a rolling pin until you have a circle of approx. 35 cm Spoon the apple mixture into the centre leaving a gap of approx. 5 cm around the edge. Fold the edge of the pastry over the fruit.
  5. Beat the egg and brush over the pastry. Bake the galette in the middle of the oven for approx. 25 minutes until golden brown and cooked.

 

  1. Serving tip: Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
