  • Cheese platter with papaya chutney

Not really a sweet tooth? Then a cheese platter is the ideal dessert. Great with drinks as well!


Papaya chutney:

  • 1 EAT ME papaya
  • ¼ EAT ME cayenne pepper
  • 5 g EAT ME ginger
  • 1 EAT ME Lime
  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • 1 tbsp. oil
  • 50 ml water


Various cheeses and garnishes of your choice, in this recipe:

  • goat brie
  • Buchette Cendre
  • Gorgonzola
  • Port salut
  • Reypenaer
  • Wijnendale
  • Chaumes
  • Rochebaron
  • walnuts
  • pecans
  • fig bread

Let's get to work

  1. Cut the papaya in half vertically. Remove the seeds with a spoon. Now cut the flesh into slices, and scoop it out. Cut the flesh into small cubes.
  2. Finely cut the cayenne pepper and ginger.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a pan and fry the ginger and pepper. Then add the papaya and the water. Gently simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Halve the lime and squeeze the juice from the fruit.
  5. Add the lime juice and honey. Remove the pan from the heat and cool the papaya chutney.
  6. Make a cheese platter with different types of cheeses and garnishes and serve with papaya chutney.
