Gammon with thyme and sweet corn

  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 3 tsp smoked paprika powder
  • 1 gammon joint (approx. 800 g)
  • 5 g fresh thyme sprigs
  • Sweet corn Product photo

Preparation method

  1. Preheat the oven to 160 °C.
  2. Mix the honey with the paprika powder. Pat the gammon dry with kitchen paper and brush with the honey-paprika glaze. Remove the thyme leaves from the sprigs and scatter over the meat. Place the gammon in an oven dish. Bake in the oven for about 25 minutes. Brush every 5 minutes with the he honey-paprika glaze.
  3. Remove the husks form the corn and halve the cobs. Cook in boiling water for approx. 10 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold running water to stop the cooking process.
  4. Allow the gammon to rest covered for 5 minutes, then slice thinly. Serve with the corn cobs.
