Guilty pleasure! Are you a avocado fan? Then treat yourself to this cheese-filled avocado wrapped in bacon. Prepare the avocado on the barbecue or in the oven in winter.

Filled avocado packets

  • EAT ME Avocado
    4 avocados
  • 100 g cheddar cheese (one piece)
  • 16 bacon slices
  • pepper

  • BBQ (or oven)

Preparation method

  1. Heat the barbecue or preheat the oven to 200 °C.
  2. Cut the avocados all the way around the stone and carefully twist the two halves apart. Remove the stone and scoop the flesh out of the skin with a spoon.
  3. Cut the cheddar into 4 equally sized pieces so they fit into the cavities of the avocados. Place a piece of cheese in the cavity and place the other half of the avocado on top. Season with pepper and wrap 4 slices of bacon around the avocado. Repeat the steps above with the other 3 avocados.
  4. Grill the avocados on the barbecue for 8 to 10 minutes. Turn regularly. Or bake them in the middle of the oven for about 12 minutes until the bacon is crispy. Serve them whole or sliced in half.
