Avocado snails

Surprise your kids with a healthy snack! These snails look really inviting and have a mild flavour they are sure to love. A great way to encourage your little ones to eat more vitamins!

Ingredients

Avocado snails

  • 1 avocado
  • 100 g cream cheese or dairy spread
  • 2 slices of wholemeal bread (or other bread)
  • 12 snack cucumbers

Kitchen tools

  • 12 cocktail sticks

Preparation method

  1. Slice the avocado all the way around the stone. Twist the two halves apart. Remove the stone and scoop the flesh out of the skin with a spoon. Mash finely. Combine the cream cheese and the mashed avocado.
  2. Remove the crusts from bread. Spread some of the avocado mixture onto each slice. Roll up the slices and cut them into 6 rolls.

Slice away the base from the snack cucumbers so they remain upright. Attach each roll to a cucumber with a cocktail stick. Repeat the steps above to make the rest of the snails.
