This oatmeal cake is a delicious variation to the vanilla cake. Oatmeal is very filling therefore this cake can also serve well as a snack in between meals. One slice of cake will give you enough energy to get through the day. The pieces of sharon fruit give this cake a delicious and sweet taste.

Ingredients

  • 3 EAT ME sharon fruit
  • 250 g flour
  • 100 g rolled oats
  • 140 g soft butter
  • 100 g of brown sugar
  • 100 g hazelnuts
  • 100 g raisins
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 eggs
  • 100 ml of milk
  • 1 tsp salt

Let's get to work

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 160 degrees Celsius.
  2. Beat the butter in a mixing bowl.
  3. Then add the eggs and brown sugar to the butter.
  4. Add the rolled oats, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, milk and salt and mix until you have a firm dough.
  5. Wash the Sharon fruit and cut 2 into small cubes and the third in slices. Chop the hazelnuts coarsely.
  6. Fold the diced sharon fruit, hazelnuts and raisins into the dough.
  7. Then put the dough into a greased cake tin.
  8. Divide the slices of sharon fruit over the cake and press them down firmly.
  9. Place in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
  10. When the cake is done remove it directly from the cake tin and let cool for at least an hour.
