  • Oven baked crostini with avocado

A delicious combination of flavours on toasted bread. This crostini with a bit of a bite is great to serve as an appetizer or as an entrée.


  • 4 EAT ME avocados
  • 20 g EAT ME basil
  • 1 homebake French bread
  • 6 tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 500 g chorizo
  • 300 g gorgonzola
  • pepper & salt

Let's get to work

  1. Pre heat oven to 210˚C.
  2. Cut the unbaked French bread at an angle.
  3. Rinse the basil leaves and chop them finely. Cut the tomato in pieces.
    Combine the tomatoes and the basil with the olive oil and some pepper and salt.
  4. Cut the avocado all the way around, going as deep as the stone. Twist until you can pull the
    2 halves apart. Remove the stone with a spoon and scoop the flesh out and dice into small cubes.
  5. Cut the chorizo in slices and cut the gorgonzola in small cubes.
  6. Spread some of the tomato mixture on the French bread and put 2 slices of chorizo
    with some avocado and the gorgonzola on top.
  7. Bake the crostini's in the oven for about 6 minutes.
