Get ready for a mango party! This homemade mango sorbet will bring a festive night to a delicious close. Treat your family or friends to this wonderful dessert.


  • 4 EAT ME mangos
  • 3 EAT ME sprigs of mint
  • 1 lemon
  • 100 g dried mango
  • 100 ml water
  • 100 g cane sugar
  • 1 tbsp. ginger syrup


Let's get to work

  1. Boil the water with the cane sugar.
  2. Lower the heat, once it boils, and let it simmer gently for another 10 minutes until you have a syrup. The bubbles will become smaller. The sugar should dissolve completely, but make sure it doesn't turn into caramel.
  3. Cut the mango along both sides of the stone or use a mango slicer. Then cut some strips in the seedless flesh, without cutting through the skin. Also slice in the opposite direction so you get a crosshatch pattern. Spoon the cubes from the mango.
  4. Halve the lemon and squeeze the juice.
  5. Place the mango pieces in a food processor along with the ginger syrup, cane syrup and lemon juice and mix it thoroughly.
  6. Cut the dried mango into small pieces.
  7. Pour the mixture together with the dried mango pieces in an ice cream maker (which has already been in the freezer for at least 4 hours) and let it run for at least 30 minutes.
  8. Scoop and make a nice balls of ice cream and garnish with mint.


No ice cream maker? Pour the mixture into a bowl and put it in the freezer. Stir with a fork every half hour. Repeat this about six times or until the ice cream is ready.
