  • Stir-fried mangetout with shiitake mushrooms and rice

Stir-frying can be done quickly. Use a wok to make this recipe and you'll have a delicious meal in no time. The good thing is, there's hardly any dishes to be cleaned. The sweet taste of the mange tout will surprise you.


  • 150 g EAT ME mangetout
  • 2 EAT ME rawit chillies
  • 100 g shiitake mushrooms
  • ½ red bell pepper
  • ¼ yellow bell pepper
  • 100 g bean sprouts
  • 150 g white rice
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tbsp. sunflower oil
  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp. kecap manis
  • pepper & salt

Let's get to work

  1. Rinse the mangetout and cut them in long strips.
  2. Slice one quarter off both the red and yellow bell pepper in thin slices.
  3. Rinse the chillies, slice in half and remove the seeds. Slice the chillies very finely.
  4. Use a garlic press to squeeze the garlic.
  5. Rinse the shiitake mushrooms and cut in small slices. Rinse the beansprouts in cold water and drain.
  6. Cook the rice according to the instructions on the packet.
  7. In the meantime, heat the sunflower oil in the wok. First stir-fry the bell pepper strips and the shiitake mushrooms for 2 minutes.
  8. Then add the mangetout, garlic and rawit chillies. Stir-fry everything for another 3 minutes. Add the bean sprouts at the end and stir-fry for another minute.
  9. Then add the soy sauce and kecap manis. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Serve the stir-fried vegetables and the rice together.
