  • Small bread rolls with goat cheese and pomegranate

A surprising snack or appetizer to impress your friends at a party.


  • 1 EAT ME pomegranate
  • 200 g soft goat cheese (roll)
  • 10 small bread rolls
  • 1 head of frisee lettuce
  • 1 sachet of Dr. Oetker Taartina ( 12g of powder to make clear fruit glaze )
  • 200 ml red wine (or 200 ml water)
  • margarine

Let's get to work

  1. Cut the top of the pomegranate. Cut gently along the ridges from the top to the bottom.
    Open the pomegranate and remove the seeds and collect the spilt juice in a measuring cup.
  2. Add wine or water to the juice until you have a total of 200 milliliters.
  3. Pour the juice into a saucepan and add the sachet of Taartina. Bring to the boil and add the pomegranate seeds.
  4. Cook the sauce on a low heat. Turn the heat off and let the sauce cool down until it is at room temperature.
  5. Then let it cool down for a further 30 minutes in the fridge.
  6. Rinse the frisee lettuce and drain well.
  7. Cut the goat cheese in ten slices.
  8. Slice open the bread rolls and spread the bottom half with margarine.
  9. Top with one leaf of frisee lettuce, one slice of goat cheese and a spoon of pomegranate sauce to taste.
