  • Shrimp cocktail with avocado

Is a shrimp cocktail old fashioned? We've given it a new look, with a healthy sauce made of orange and avocado instead of a thick fatty one. It looks great too.


  • 1 EAT ME avocado
  • 200 g shrimp
  • 2 oranges
  • Purple shiso or other sprouts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt & pepper

Let's get to work

  1. Cut the avocado all the way around, going as deep as the stone. Twist until you can pull the 2 halves apart. Remove the stone with a spoon. Peel the avocado or scoop the flesh out. Use a melon ball to scoop balls out of the avocado or cut into pieces.
  2. Sprinkle the avocado with salt and pepper.
  3. Remove the orange peel and cut into wedges.
  4. Put the shrimp in the glasses and place the orange and avocado on top.
  5. Garnish with a little bit of purple shiso.
