  • Pepino filled with Parma ham

A nice take on the classic appetizer: melon with ham. These snacks are great to give your dinner tha extra special touch.


  • 2 EAT ME Pepinos
  • 8 sprigs of EAT ME chives
  • 50 g mixed lettuce
  • 4 slices Parma ham
  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • 25 g pine nuts

Let's get to work

  1. Cut the pepino vertically in half. Use a melon baller and scoop small balls from the pepino, put in a dish and set aside. Make sure the four pepino halves are hollowed out.
  2. Slice the Parma ham in two strips.
  3. Line the hollow pepino with mixed lettuce and place a half slice Parma ham on top.
  4. Divide half of the pepino balls over this. Lay the other half of the Parma ham slices on top. Finally, divide the last pepino balls on the Parma ham.
  5. Roast the pine nuts in a dry frying pan until they are golden brown. Sprinkle these over the filled Pepinos.
  6. Sprinkle the filled pepino with honey and garnish each one with 2 sprigs of chives.
