A miso soup is a delicious and easy soup to make. Ideal for during the week. Try it with different ingredients, but be sure to add lots of delicious Asian vegetables.


  • 1 EAT ME Shanghai Paksoy
  • 100 g EAT ME Shiitake mushrooms
  • 100 g chestnut mushrooms
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 tbsp. miso paste
  • 2 steaks
  • 1 spring onion
  • 250 g noodles
  • 150 g of julienne carrots
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp. arachis oil
  • 1 L water
  • pepper & salt

Let's get to work

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan. Gently press the garlic with a garlic press and fry the garlic. Add the miso paste and warm it up.
  2. Add the water and bring the soup to the boil and turn the heat down.
  3. Prepare the noodles according to the instructions on the package.
  4. Cut the shiitake and chestnut mushrooms into slices and fry these in a 1 tablespoon of oil for about 5 minutes. Bring to taste with salt and pepper.
  5. Sprinkle the steaks with pepper and salt and bake the steaks on both sides for 2 minutes using 1 tablespoon of oil. Then set aside.
  6. Slice the spring onions into fine rings.
  7. Wash the Shanghai Paksoy, cut the bottom off and chop the stem in small pieces. Keep the leaves whole.
  8. Cut the steak into slices.
  9. Evenly divide the finely sliced Shanghai Paksoy stem, noodles, fried mushrooms, carrots and slices of steak among 4 bowls. Pour the soup on top and put some Shanghai Paksoy leaves in the soup.
  10. Sprinkle with the spring onion slices.
