Delicious with a big cup of coffee or tea. The mango adds a lovely sweet taste to the apple turnovers.


  • 1 EAT ME mango
  • 1 EAT ME lime
  • 1 apple
  • 2 tbsp. raisins
  • 1 tbsp. sugar + extra for sprinkling
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • 4 puff pastry sheets

Let's get to work

  1. Preheat the oven to 190 °C.
  2. Remove the puff pastry slices and let them thaw for about 10 minutes.
  3. Cut the mango along both sides of the stone or use a mango slicer. Then cut some strips in the seedless flesh, without cutting through the skin. Also slice in the opposite direction so you get a crosshatch pattern. Spoon the cubes from the mango.
  4. Peel the apples, remove the cores and cut into small cubes
  5. Put the mango cubes and apple cubes together in a mixing bowl. Add the sugar, cinnamon and raisins.
  6. Scoop some of the mango apple mixture on a slice of puff pastry.
  7. Fold the mango-apple turnovers closed and press the edges down firmly with a fork.
  8. Brush the top of the mango-apple turnovers with a beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar.
  9. Bake the mango-apple turnovers in 15 minutes until golden brown.
