Celebrate Halloween with the kids. A pie is easy to make and is so much fun to make together with the kids. A piece left over? Great for lunch the next day!

Ingredients

  • 2 EAT ME Shanghai paksoy
  • 500 g chicken fillet cubes
  • 2 red bell peppers
  • 2 onions
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tsp. curry powder
  • 1 tsp. paprika powder
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 350 g flour
  • 200 g cold butter
  • 3 tbsp. water
  • 3 eggs
  • pepper & salt

 

Let's get to work

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
  2. To make the dough, mix flour and butter and add 2 eggs.
  3. Add water and see the dough becoming smooth, add extra water to make it fluffy. Place the dough in the fridge and let it sit.
  4. Finely chop the garlic and onion and slice the bell peppers into strips.
  5. Rinse the Shanghai paksoy and cut finely.
  6. Heat olive oil in a frying pan and bake the chicken for about 3 minutes. Add the onions, garlic and bell peppers and bake for 3 minutes. Then add the Shanghai paksoy and fry along briefly.
  7. Season with paprika powder, curry powder, pepper and salt.
  8. Remove the pan from the heat and let it cool down.
  9. Grease the pie tin with a bit of butter and divide the dough into two balls.
  10. Roll out one ball and line the quiche tin with it. Prick a few holes in the bottom with a fork.
  11. Place the filling in the quiche tin and roll out the second piece of dough.
  12. Cover the tin with the dough and cut off the excess.
  13. Beat one egg in a separate dish and brush the top of the dough.
  14. Cut out the drawn eyes, nose and mouth with a sharp knife and remove the excess dough.
  15. Bake the savoury quiche about 30 to 40 minutes until done.
