  • Grilled avocado with tuna salad

Avocado can be prepared in many different ways. The soft and creamy flavour is perfect for grilling on the barbecue. The warm taste of the grilled avocado combines perfectly with the fresh and cool flavours of the tuna salad.


  • 2 EAT ME avocados
  • 5 g EAT ME chives
  • 1 can of tuna
  • ½ red onion
  • 1 pickle
  • ½ red bell pepper
  • 20 g capers
  • 1 tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp. ketchup
  • salt and pepper

Let's get to work

  1. Remove the tuna from the can and drain in a sieve.
  2. Chop the onion finely.
  3. Cut the pickle, red onion, bell pepper into small cubes. Chop the chives coarsely.
  4. Mix all ingredients together and add the capers, mayonnaise and ketchup. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  5. Cut the avocado all the way around, going as deep as the stone. Twist until you can pull the 2 halves apart. Remove the stone with a spoon.
  6. Place the avocados halves on the barbecue for a few minutes. Turn the avocados a quarter turn while grilling, to create a nice grill effect on the avocado.
  7. After a few minutes, remove the avocados from the barbecue and fill them with tuna salad.
