  • Cranberry paté canapés

Cranberries remind you of Christmas immediately. Then make these tasty snacks with cranberry paté.

Ingredients

  • 250g EAT ME cranberries
  • 300 g creamy pâté
  • 1 French bread
  • 125 g sugar
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 dl water
  • 1.5 dl red port or red wine
  • lettuce for garnishing
  • pepper

Let's get to work

Preparation
  1. Place the cranberries, the sugar, cinnamon, water and port or wine in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Then turn the heat down and let it simmer gently for about 5 minutes.
  2. Remove the pan from the heat and leave the sauce to cool down.
  3. Put the creamy pâté in a bowl and add 5 tablespoons of cold cranberry sauce.
  4. Use a blender to mix the cranberries into the pâté and beat gently together.
  5. Season with freshly ground pepper.
  6. Cut the French bread into thin slices and top each slice with a small amount cranberry paté.
  7. Garnish with a little bit of cranberry sauce and a lettuce leaf.
