  • Bulgur with sharon fruit and chicken shawarma

Adding fruit to a salad is a winning combination. The fruity flavour of the Sharon fruit is a great match with the spicy chicken. Delicious for lunch or as a main course.



  • 1 EAT ME Sharon fruit
  • 125 g bulgur
  • 150 g chicken thighs
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 red onion
  • 3 spring onions
  • ½ tbsp. paprika powder
  • 1 tbsp. shawarma spices
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil

Dressing / sauce

  • 1 tbsp. EAT ME parsley
  • 1 tbsp. EAT ME chives
  • 10 ml of yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp. mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp. mustard
  • 1 tsp. honey
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • salt and pepper

Let's get to work

  1. Cook the bulgur by following the instructions on the packaging. Drain the bulgur and rinse with cold water. Drain well.
  2. Cut the chicken into thin strips and mix with the olive oil, paprika powder and shawarma seasoning. Set the chicken aside for 5 minutes.
  3. Rinse the Sharon fruit and cut into small cubes, cut the red onion and the tomato into small cubes as well. Slice the spring onions into small rings.
  4. Now make the sauce, crush the garlic with a garlic press. Rinse and finely cut the parsley and the chives. Mix this together with the yoghurt, mayonnaise, mustard, honey and garlic to make the sauce. Bring to taste with salt and pepper.
  5. Heat a frying pan and bake the chicken shawarma for 5 to 6 minutes until done.
  6. Mix the chicken shawarma with the bulgur and add the red onion, tomato and spring onion.
  7. Serve lukewarm together with the sauce.
