  • Braised leeks with thyme

Give your dish a delicious, natural flavour using a fresh herb. Thyme goes really well with leek.


  • 3 EAT ME sprigs thyme
  • 1 kg leeks
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 shallot
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • salt and pepper

Let's get to work

  1. Halve the leeks and cut into diagonal pieces. Wash the leeks and drain in a colander.
  2. Finely slice the garlic and shallot.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a pan and fry the onion and shallot until translucent. Add the leeks and whole sprigs of thyme and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Reduce heat to low and simmer the leeks for 15 minutes with the lid on the pan.
